Isla Coronado, an ancient and extinct volcano, showcases a stunning coastline shaped by wind and sea erosion, featuring steep cliffs and impressive lava formations on its north side. The southern shores reveal beautiful sandy beaches and calm waters, perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Isla Carmen stands as the largest and tallest among them, a continuation of the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range. The Sea of Cortez is famously called the aquarium of the world. Home to more than 900 fish species, 35 species of marine mammals, and 39 species of marine birds The park's rich biodiversity led to its recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance. There are no less than 90 fish, five marine turtle, and seven reptile and mammal endemic species found no where else in the world. The park contributes 39% of the global total marine mammal species.
